These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Callgent website, AI receptionist service, and related features (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the service

Callgent provides a phone-based AI receptionist for small businesses. Features may include dedicated phone numbers, call handling, lead capture, call transcripts, optional website widgets, and calendar integration. Some features require third-party accounts or services, such as Google Calendar.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of the business you represent. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Send unsolicited communications, spam, or harassing content.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or business.
• Interfere with the security, availability, or performance of the Service.
• Attempt to access data or accounts you are not authorized to access.

5. Google Calendar integration

If you connect Google Calendar, you grant Callgent permission to access your Google Calendar data solely to provide scheduling features. You may revoke this permission at any time through your Google Account settings. Callgent is not endorsed by or affiliated with Google, and Google is not responsible for the Service.

6. Payments and subscriptions

Certain features may require payment. Fees, billing cycles, and cancellation terms are described at the point of purchase or in your account settings. You are responsible for all applicable taxes and charges associated with your use of the Service.

7. Intellectual property

Callgent owns all rights in the Service, including its software, branding, and content. You retain ownership of your business data and content. You grant Callgent a limited license to use your data solely to provide and improve the Service.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and limitations

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Callgent is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits or data arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page or through your account. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
